September in July! New Fall Yarns in Stock NOW

Malabrigo Rasta is a super thick, super soft single ply yarn made from 100% Merino Wool. One luxurious skein is enough for a hat, mitts, or a close neck-warmer/cowl (try our Free Bulky Mobius Cowl pattern for some instant gratification).
  • 100% Merino Wool
  • 150g/82m (90 yds)
  • Super Bulky Weight
  • 10mm to 15mm (Us15 to 19) needles
  • 8 to 10 sts = 4" (10cm)
  • Single Ply, Slightly felted
  • Hand wash, lay flat to dry

Malabrigo Chunky is one of our favourite yarns of all time. It's soft as a baby's bum and knits up beautifully on any needle between 6mm to 8mm (US 10 to 11). The colour is a gorgeous hand dye and comes in both semi-solids and variegated colourways. No two skeins are exactly the same, so if you are using more than 1 skein for your project you should would with 2 skeins at at time and alternate every other row to ensure an even colour distribution.
  • 100% Merino Wool
  • 100g/95m (104yds)
  • Bulky Weight
  • 6mm to 8mm/US10 to 11 needles
  • 14 sts = 4"/10cm
  • Made in Uruguay
  • Hand wash, lay flat to dry

Malabrigo Mecha is a yummy-scrummy skein of wonder! It's a single ply, 100% extra fine superwash merino wool, which translates to soft as and squishy baby's bottom. It knits at a variable gauge, a chunky to bulky weight, and is very flexible since the yarn tends to bloom. The yardage is generous at 120 metres (130 yards), and of course you can actually use it for babies and kids since it's machine washable.
  • 100% Superwash Merino Wool
  • 100g/120m (130yds)
  • Chunky to Bulky Weight
  • 6 to 8mm/US 10 to 11 needles
  • Made in Uruguay
  • Machine Wash, lay flat to dry

Cascade Eco is a great staple yarn. It knits up beautifully on 6mm/US10 needles (although you can use up to 8mm/US11 for a cardigan like Iced by Carol Feller). It's very affordable and comes in extra-large, 250g skeins, making it extremely popular for blankets, sweaters and felted slippers. One skein in enough to make a scarf/infinity scarf. On the softness scale, it's somewhere around an 8/10 - not as soft as a Merino, Alpaca or Cashmere, but pretty good as far as wool goes.
  • 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
  • 250g/437m (478yds)
  • 5.5mm to 6mm (US 9 to 10) needles
  • 14 to 16 sts = 4" (10cm)
  • Hand wash in cold with Eucalan or Soak, lay flat to dry.
  • Made in Peru
  • Project Ideas from Ravelry

Cascade Magnum is a super fluffy, soft, single ply yarn. It works up super quick on big needles (we like 12 to 15mm/US17 to 19) and makes for a very satisfying knit. It's great for last minute gifts, especially hats and cowls.
  • 100% Peruvian Highland Wool
  • 250g/112m (123yds)
  • Super Bulky Weight
  • 10mm to 15mm/US 15 to 19 needles
  • Single plt
  • Hand wash, lay flat to dry
  • Made in Peru

Knitting Traditions Fall 2014

The new issue of Interweave Knitting Traditions just arrived, and it isn't even up on Ravelry yet!
